At Desert Kidney Associates, we value our patients’ needs and prioritize being available to them during urgent situations. To ensure you receive the care you need, we offer after-hours access to our on-call physician. If you need urgent medical attention, simply dial our main number at (480) 834-9039. Our answering service will gather your contact details and promptly notify the on-call physician. It’s important to note that the on-call physician may not be your regular physician, so they may ask you some questions to better understand your situation. We are committed to providing you with the best care possible, even outside of regular office hours.

To make an appointment, please call our office at (480) 834-9039 during our clinic hours from Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM – 4:45 PM.

At our clinic, we strive to schedule appointments promptly. However, if you request a specific Nephrologist, your wait time may be longer. If your condition is urgent, we request that your referring physician contacts us to discuss your case. For medical emergencies, please dial 911 or head to the nearest Emergency Room.

Our clinic allocates approximately 30 minutes for initial consultations and 15 minutes for follow-up visits. However, the duration may vary based on your specific needs.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please call us at (480) 834-9039. Kindly call 24 hours in advance so we may use those times to schedule other patients. If you do not cancel or reschedule your appointment with at least 24 hours notice, we may assess a $50 “no-show” service charge to your account

In order to submit your request, kindly complete the form and send it to us via fax at (480) 964-7802 or mail it to our main office at 612 W. Baseline Rd. Mesa, Arizona 85210. We assure you that we will make every effort to process your request within 24 to 72 hours.

As part of our policy, Desert Kidney Associates will charge patients a $50 fee for no-show appointments. To avoid this charge, we require patients to cancel their appointments at least 24 hours in advance.

How can I renew my prescripations?2023-06-06T18:40:42+00:00

We kindly request that you notify our office in a timely manner when refill requests are needed. Please note that it may take up to three business days for your refill request to be approved. To avoid any delays, we encourage you to call us in advance.

For patients using a mail-order pharmacy, we recommend contacting us at least fourteen (14) days prior to running out of medication.

It’s important to keep your scheduled appointments to ensure that you receive timely refills.

Yes, all of our practices use the patient portal Epic MyChart. You can access it using a desktop or laptop computer or download the MyChart app on your Apple® or Android™ device.

The benefits of Epic MyChart include the following:

  • viewing your test and lab results
  • view office notes
  • accessing your medical records, medications, and more
  • requesting prescription refills
  • sending secure messages to your doctor’s office
Do I need to have labs done prior to each follow up appointment?2023-06-06T19:15:00+00:00

Our physicians require patients to have labs done at least one week before their appointment to assess kidney function. If urgent lab results need to be addressed immediately, your physician or the medical assistant will contact you. For all other lab results, your physician will discuss them with you during your follow-up appointment.

I didn’t get a lab requisition form at my last appointment. How am I supposed to get my labs done?2023-06-08T21:37:04+00:00

Don’t worry; our electronic health record system lets us send lab requisitions to Sonora Quest and LabCorp electronically. Normally, your doctor would have already sent an electronic lab requisition form so you won’t need a physical one. The laboratory providers such as, (Sonora Quest and LabCorp) should be able to locate you by your name. However, if you require further assistance, feel free to contact us at 480-834-9039.

To pay your bill, you’ve got a few options. You can send a check to the address listed on the bill, give us a call at 1866-726-8505 to pay over the phone, or just bring payment with you to your next appointment.
